Before - loft

The loft was quite a surprise, largest and brightest room in the house, with much higher ceilings than you’d expect. The previous owner had been using it as an art studio and general storage, the amount of clutter, junk left behind by previous owner we had to clear out was probably more the rest of the house combined. But we did find lots of prints/paintings which Cookie loved and  some remain in the house throughout.

And as for my facial expression in the first picture, well that's a face of a heavily pregnant woman calculating that cost and time it was going to take to remove and restore this room to our design. I always saw the potential but never envisaged walking into a new home with a new born baby with this amount of work to undertake.
