Wallpaper vs Painted wall
In the red corner we have wallpaper. I have always dreamed of having intricately designed by William Morris in my home, with a pattern repeat that swallows up your eyes while you try to contemplate the individual leaves and count how many apples you can see. Wallpaper requires a steady hand, a sharp eye, and decent adhesive to hang it in position. Avoid any moisture to the righthand side of the paper to avoid smudges.
And in the In the blue corner we have painted walls. Equally packing a punch in vibrancy, easier application (in my opinion) and can provide a more neutral backdrop to showcase artwork.
I would like to use the spare rolls we have of this hand block printed Morris design to paper all the walls above the dado rail in our bedroom, Cookie prefers his simple plum coloured walls. Who will have the final decision, I don’t know?
Let’s get ready to rumble!
